Jeremiah 29:3-5

³ He entrusted the letter to Elasah, the son of Shaphan, and to Gema-riah, the son of Hilkiah, whom Zedekiah, the king of Judah, had sent to Babylon, to King Nebuchadnezzar of Babylon. The letter stated:

⁴ Thus says the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel, to all the exiles whom I deported from Jerusalem to Babylon: ⁵ Build houses and dwell in them; plant gardens and eat what they produce.
